OJAHH To Nurture Next Generation Of Talented Musicians

The Orlando Julius Afro House of High Life (OJAHH), the legacy project of the late legendary musician and his partner and widow, Latoya Aduke are set to nurture the next generation of star musicians.
OJAHH, which is housed between the historic town of Ilesha and Ijebu-Ijesa, is designed as a one-stop destination for young musicians to learn record and showcase their talents.

According to Latoya Aduke, a musician and dancer, Orlando Julius Afro House of High Life (OJAHH) is a product of a dream, she and her late husband, had which is to support the young musicians and nurture them to greatness.

“OJAHH which will be unveiled in the coming month(s) with a festival in Ijebu-Ijesha, Osun State will attract dignitaries, guests and lovers of my husband, O.J.

Prominent musicians from Afrobeat Genre and other ones that resonate with us and believe in Orlando’s dream will perform live at the unveiling of the OJAHH edifice.

One of the plans we have is to train young artistes on the rudiments of music at OJAHH and nurture them to stardom with all the partnerships and exposure, me and Orlando,” she said.

Orlando Julius was a Nigerian saxophonist, singer, bandleader, and songwriter whose songs, closely associated with afrobeat music reverberates from the interior parts of South West Nigeria to the performance theatre and shows in Europe, United States, Latin America and Asia, where good and danceable music is played and appreciated.

O.J Ekemode died on April 15, 2022 having started his music career early in life and had performed under late illustrious High life musician, Eddie Okonta.
