Candidates of 13 political parties that participated in the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State have pledged their support for the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The candidates, alongside the chairmen of their political parties, met with the governor at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Akure.
The parties represented at the meeting said they had accepted the outcome of the governorship election.
Speaking one after the other, the candidates said now that the election is over, they were ready to work with the governor for the development of the state.
The political parties represented at the meeting were Accord (A), Action Alliance (AA), Allied Peoples Movement (APM), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), All Peoples Party (APP), African Democratic Party (ADP), African Democratic Congress (ADC), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Labour Party (LP), Youth Party (YP), Young Peoples Party (YPP), Boot Party (BP) and the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
Responding, Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked the candidates and the party chairmen for pledging to support his administration.
The governor said it has become a collective duty for all to come together and contribute meaningfully towards the development of the state.
Governor Aiyedatiwa promised that his administration would continue to run an inclusive governance that will not discriminate against any political party.
