The governor’s wife gave the advice during a thanksgiving to mark her appointment as UNICROSS VC at  Hogis Royala on Sunday in Calabar.

She asked Bassey to deploy the wealth of experience gained in the last three decades in teaching, research and academic administration to position the institution on the global stage.

Represented by the special adviser to the governor’s wife on Advocacy, Dr. Comfort Ooh, he urged the UNICROSSS VC to provide bold and transformative leadership that will consolidate existing achievements while steering UNICROSS toward becoming a centre of academic excellence, research, and innovation.

In her remarks, the VC pledged to collaborate with the university community, alumni, and government to raise the institution’s profile and reaffirm its role in driving human capital development.
