Outrage In Taraba PDP As Ex-Gov. Nyame Makes List Of Stakeholders

There is outcry from members of the PDP in Taraba State due to the inclusion of former governor of the state, Rev. Jolly Nyame, on the list of stakeholders invited to brain storm on critical matters that would lead to the state’s congress of the party slated to commence soon.

Nyame had earlier in 2011 left the PDP for Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) which nominated him for northern senatorial seat of the state before he was sentenced to prison for misappropriation of the state’s funds.

The PDP had on the 4th July, 2024 in a press statement signed by Andeta’rang Irammae, the state publicity secretary listed Nyame as one of the stakeholders for the assignment.

“The Taraba State Chapter of People’s Democratic Party wishes to invite the under-listed persons to a crucial meeting as scheduled, date 5th July 2024, Venue Exco Chambers Government House, Time 5:00pm; only those whose names are listed here under will be admitted into the meeting.

 

Nyame’s name was 5th on the list. When contacted, Irammae denied knowledge of Nyame’s defection to another political party, though he confirmed that many people were making comments on his inclusion on the list.
