Oyo Assembly Pledges Support For Makinde’s Economic Policies

Oyo State House of Assembly has assured Governor Seyi Makinde of its readiness for improved legislature, executive collaboration  towards the actualisation of better and sustainable economic policies and programmes of the executive arm.

The lawmakers who were part of the delegation to global business summit held in London resolved to provide necessary legislative support for Makinde to make the state the economic hub of the South West geopolitical zone in Nigeria while making Oyo in particular the most investment-friendly state in the country.

The head of the Oyo Assembly delegation to the London summit, the Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, disclosed this through his special assistant on media, Alhaji Oyetunji Oyekunle.

 The delegation to the parley tagged: “Oyo State International Business Summit, OYSIBS 2023″ composed of the principal officers, House Committees’ chairmen, other lawmakers and some management staff of the legislature.

Ogundoyin said the Oyo State House of Assembly would continue to give priority to bills and laws that would not only bring new investors to the state but will also make the state safe and conducive for businesses and investment to thrive.

 According to him, this in line with the vision of Governor Makinde to provide necessary infrastructure that will draw investors to the state.

 He explained that the summit provided an opportunity for the Oyo State government to intimate private investors, corporate leaders of the investment and economic potentials which abound in the state, especially in the areas of agriculture, solid minerals and so on.

” I am happy to lead the delegation of the Oyo State House of Assembly to the London Business Summit. This summit has opened a new vista in the efforts of this administration to woo investors into our dear state.

“It provided a platform to showcase the economic potentials of Oyo State and how investors could tap into them. Ours was a powerful delegation as all principal officers and chairmen of various House Committees were in attendance,’’ he said.
