In what appeared to be a radical shift from 2019 when the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the Bauchi State governorship seat but lost control of the House of Assembly to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the ruling party has won 22 seats to form a majority in the incoming legislature.

LEADERSHIP gathered that out of the 31-member assembly, APC won only eight seats to be a minority in the hallowed chamber while the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) won a seat.

The deputy director of voter education of INEC Office in Bauchi, Aliyu Shaba disclosed this when he unveiled the list of winners of the March 18, 2023, state assembly election.

The list showed that the APC won eight seats while the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) got one seat.
