The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Abia State, Dr Kingsley Ononogbu has said that the era of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state will end in the forthcoming general election.

Ononogbu stated this in his new year message to the people of the state which was made available to LEADERSHIP Sunday, saying the year is not just another one, but portends positive changes for everyone.

He said, “This year, the PDP must be thrown out of the government house. We can make it possible by using our votes conscientiously. Abia can no longer afford to be saddled with the disastrous burden called PDP.

“It is the year of total liberation from the stifling bad governance that has kept our state in its present stagnation. Yes, we are on a journey to the Promised Land and our arrival date is this year.”

He enjoined the people to join the liberation movement being led by High Chief Ikechi Emenike, the APC governorship candidate, saying in Emenike they would find a man with great passion and determination to make the state really great.
