The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Hon. Usman Shehu Bawa (ABG), has assured the residents that a PDP-led administration would tackle insecurity, economic hardship, and infrastructural deficits if elected in the 2027 general elections.

Bawa gave the assurance while receiving party stakeholders, supporters and associates who paid him a Sallah homage at his residence in Kaduna yesterday.

He expressed confidence that the PDP would reclaim power and restore good governance in the state.

The PDP flag bearer said the party had commenced mobilisation and strategic preparations to secure victory at the polls, assuring supporters that it was well-positioned to provide Kaduna residents with an alternative platform for development and effective leadership.

According to him, the growing support for the PDP across the state reflects the people’s desire for a new direction in governance.

He noted that Kaduna State continues to face numerous challenges, including insecurity, economic hardship, inadequate infrastructure and limited access to quality healthcare services.

“I want the people of Kaduna State to know that it is time to say no to insecurity. It is time to say no to the hardship being experienced by our people and time to address the challenges confronting our communities,” he said.

Bawa maintained that restoring peace and security would be his administration’s priority, stressing that meaningful development could only thrive in an environment where lives and property were adequately protected.

He pledged to work closely with security agencies, traditional rulers, and community leaders to strengthen efforts to tackle security challenges across the state.

The governorship candidate also promised to implement comprehensive women and youth empowerment programmes aimed at creating jobs, supporting small-scale businesses and reducing poverty.

According to him, empowering women and young people would not only improve livelihoods but also stimulate economic growth and promote social stability.

Bawa further assured residents that his administration would prioritise the provision of critical infrastructure, revitalise the healthcare sector and expand access to quality education in both urban and rural communities.

“Thi” is not an ABG project or a PDP project alone; it is a project for the good people of Kaduna State. Together, we can restore hope, tackle insecurity and place our state on the path of progress and prosperity”. H” stressed that the mission to reposition Kaduna State was beyond personal ambition or partisan interests, describing it as a collective responsibility requiring the support and commitment of all stakeholders to build a more secure, prosperous and inclusive society.
