The permanent secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Patience Oyekunle, has tasked the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) to strengthen ties in regulating the petroleum sector, while hailing its ongoing reforms.

Oyekunle paid a courtesy visit to NMDPRA Headquarters in Abuja, where she commended the Authority’s efforts in navigating sector complexities and balancing interests of industry players, investors, and Nigerians.

The Authority’s chief executive, Saidu Mohammed, described the visit as timely amid efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s energy landscape.

He reaffirmed NMDPRA’s mandate to ensure energy security and drive performance across the midstream and downstream sectors.

Mohammed highlighted reforms aimed at enhancing regulatory efficiency and positioning the Authority as a world-class regulator.
