Rivers United missed two penalties in the game.

Alex Oyowah scored the first goal of the game in the 89th minute, and he converted a penalty one minute later to make it 2-0.

The first leg of the tie finished 0-0 two weeks ago at the Stade Muncipal Yamoussoukro, Burkina Faso.

Rivers United have now qualified for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup 2-0 on aggregate.

Up next for Rivers United is their first Nigeria Premier Football League game of the season against Niger Tornadoes billed for the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on Sunday.
