PICTORIAL: Customs Intercepts Cache Of Arms, Ammunition, Hard Drugs At Lagos Port

The Tin-Can Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), on Friday, announced the seizure of cache of arms, ammunition and illicit drugs imported into the country.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the seized items included military camouflage and illicit drugs such as colorado, heroine, cocaine, among others.

The arms recovered included automatic single barrel rifles and pump action guns, among other weapons.

Speaking at a press conference, the Customs Area Controller, Tin Can Island Command, Compt. Dera Nnadi, stated that the seizures were made by eagle-eyed officers of the Command.

According to him, some persons arrested in line with the seizures are still in detention and would be prosecuted accordingly.
