President Bola Tinubu arrived in Bauchi on Saturday evening to commiserate with the family of the late revered Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
The President landed at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport at about 4:10pm.
He was received on arrival by Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed; Plateau State governor, Caleb Mutfwan; Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni; Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb Yusuf Tuggar, and other top government officials, traditional rulers, and religious leaders.
President Tinubu proceeded to the Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s Mosque to pay his last respect to the late revered leader of Tijjaniya Movement in Nigeria.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi passed away at the age of 92 last month, leaving behind a towering legacy of spiritual leadership and millions of followers across Nigeria and beyond.
