Plateau APC: Lalu Clinches Mangu/Bokkos Reps Ticket Again

The member representing Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Ishaya David Lalu, has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) direct primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Lalu, who is seeking a second term in the Green Chamber, polled a total of 33,290 votes in the exercise to secure the party’s ticket.

The results were announced in Mangu by the returning officers for the exercise, Mr. Wumen Peter (Mangu) and Mr. David Joseph (Bokkos).

According to the declared results, Elkanah Garang scored 1,075 votes, while Air Vice Marshal (rtd) Paul Masiyer polled 2,115 votes.

Lalu’s victory confirms him as the APC candidate for the Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections.

The direct primary election recorded participation from party members across Mangu and Bokkos Local Government Areas, with supporters of the various aspirants present during the collation and announcement of results.
