Plateau: Lalu Wins Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency’s Ticket

The member representing Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Ishaya David Lalu, has emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) direct primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Lalu, who is seeking a second term in the Green Chamber, scored a total of 33,290 votes in the just concluded exercise to clinch the party’s ticket.

The results were announced in Mangu by the returning officers for the exercise, Mr Wumen Peter (Mangu) and Mr David Joseph (Bokkos).

According to the results declared, Elkanah Garang polled 1,075 votes, while AVM Paul Masiyer, retired, scored 2,115 votes.

Lalu’s victory confirms him as the APC candidate for the Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections.
