Plateau United’s technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, has emphatically stated his team’s commitment to securing maximum points in their remaining Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixtures.
The “Peace Boys” are gearing up for a crucial run-in of seven matches against formidable opponents, including Bendel Insurance, Ikorodu City, Rivers United, Kun Khalifat FC, Warri Wolves, Nasarawa United, and Kano Pillars.
Ogunbote, speaking to Completesports, underscored the importance of fair officiating, especially in their upcoming away encounters.
“Every team has seven games left, whether home or away. We have three at home and four away, just like others,” he explained. “Ours is that we’ll play two consecutive away games. We only pray for fair officiating like we had in this match. If that happens, we can get results anywhere.”
He further articulated his ambitious philosophy, declaring, “We won’t go into away games looking for draws. My philosophy is to aim high — if you fall, you fall among the stars.”
This statement signals Plateau United’s intent to aggressively pursue victories and not settle for draws, even when playing away from home. The team is clearly focused on a strong finish to the season, with fair play being a key concern for their management.
