Ashleigh Plumptre has commenced rehabilitation in the United Kingdom after undergoing successful surgery on her left foot.
The Super Falcons defender went under the knife last weekend, with her club Al-Ittihad Ladies confirming the procedure.
Plumptre is now expected to spend several months on the sidelines as she works her way back to full fitness, dealing a significant blow to both club and country.
The injury marks the second major setback for the 27-year-old since joining Al-Ittihad, having previously been ruled out for around six months in 2024.
Her rehabilitation programme is now under way, with a cautious approach expected as she aims to regain full match fitness and avoid further complications.
