Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a total of 1,532 suspects in connection with various offences across the state in 2025.

According to the Police, 124 cases were successfully convicted, while 756 cases are currently awaiting trial, and one case remains under investigation.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib on Wednesday, who highlighted the achievements recorded under the leadership of the 46th Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, in the fight against crime and criminality in the state.

SP Habib noted that a noticeable decline in all categories of crime was recorded within the year, reflecting the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Bauchi State.

He explained that the success was achieved through round-the-clock patrols, effective guard duties, and regular raids of identified black spots, aimed at curbing criminal activities.

The statement further revealed that the Command strengthened inter-agency collaboration, stakeholder engagement, visibility policing, and proactive security strategies to secure critical infrastructure across the state.
