“They admitted to operating mainly around Wuse, Garki, and the Central Area and within August alone. Their gang stole three Toyota Prado SUVs, two white Toyota Hilux vehicles, and one black Toyota Camry, which they sold for between ₦7 million and ₦8 million each,” the police stated.
Adeh said the suspects further revealed that their leader, one “Alhaji” (real name unknown), operates from Niger Republic where he receives and disposes of the stolen vehicles.
She added that the arrest led to the recovery of a stolen Toyota Hilux with registration number FCT 13B100CT, the suspects’ operational black Toyota Matrix with registration number ABC 85 NW, an electronic car jammer, and five rounds of 7.62x39mm live ammunition.
