Police in Adamawa State are investigating the case of a teenager who allegedly committed suicide in Runde-Baru area near the Jambutu main motor park in  Yola-North local government area of Adamawa State.

The cause of suicide could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report, but police public relations officer SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje confirmed the incident to LEADERSHIP Sunday yesterday.

Nguroje said far as the command was concerned, the matter had no offender.

“Had it been it was attempted suicide, then police would charge him to court, which is liable for seven years jail term.

“But the fact that the deceased killed himself, the matter has no offender”.

LEADERSHIP Sunday gathered that the deceased had earlier observed morning prayers before the incident.
