According to a press statement by the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the operation was executed on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at about 9:00am.

The PPRO said the Dutsinma Divisional Police Headquarters had received a distress call reporting a bandits’ attack. Armed with AK-47 rifles and other dangerous weapons, the bandits had launched an assault on the village, causing panic among residents.

In a swift response, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), in collaboration with the military, Department of State Services (DSS), Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KTSCWC), and local vigilantes, mobilised to the scene.

The security team engaged the attackers in a fierce gun battle, neutralising seven suspects. The remaining bandits fled with injuries, abandoning the rustled animals.
