Police Probe Killing Of Comfort Omoge’s Grandson By Scavenger In Ondo

Following the tragic death of Prince OgoOluwa Omoge, grandson of the late music icon, Comfort Omoge, the Ondo State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into the incident.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the incident reportedly occurred on Friday along the Ayeka/Igbokoda Expressway in Okitipupa, Okitipupa Local Government Area.

While it was gathered that a scavenger allegedly killed the deceased, it was further learnt that the Police have also arrested the suspect.

Confirming the arrest on Monday, the police command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Olayinka Ayanlade, disclosed that the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Akure for further investigation.

According to the PPRO, “I can confirm to you that the suspect is in our custody in the SCID in Akure for further investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of Omoge.”
