Speaking on behalf of the acting inspector-general of police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the police commissioner said the promotion of the officers followed their successful interviews with the Departmental Selection Board.

„These officers were promoted as recommended by the IGP, in promotions released by the Police Service Commission (PSC),“ he stated.

The CP congratulated and reminded them that their new ranks come with higher expectations and urged them to protect the citizens‘ lives and property with greater commitment.

He also warned that there would be no tolerance for unscrupulous elements in the command adding that their new status is meant to impact positively on their families and the society in general.
