The leadership of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has embarked on an assessment and familiarisation tour of selected colleges of education in Nigeria, where the Electronic Education Initiative (EDON) Project is being implemented.

The tour, led by the national president of NAPS, Comrade Eshiofune Paul Oghayan, was aimed at analysing the level of implementation of the EDON Project and evaluating its impact on teaching and learning.

It also sought to explore practical pathways for integrating the initiative into polytechnics, monotechnics and colleges of Technology in Nigeria.

During the visit, the NAPS delegation observed the transformative role of the EDON Project, under the leadership of Dr Idon Akogun, in strengthening technological integration, enhancing practical-based learning, and equipping students with modern educational tools.

NAPS said the initiative represents a forward-thinking model that aligns with the technical, skills-based and innovation-driven mandate of polytechnic education in the country.

He said NAPS will continue to engage relevant stakeholders and policymakers to ensure that similar digital education advancements are domesticated within polytechnics, monotechnics, and colleges of technology nationwide.
