Portable Praises Federal Gov’t, Police In New Single

Street musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, seems to be remorseful after his release from detention on Monday.

He has dropped a new single that speaks about his detention for three days at the Ilaro correctional centre in Ogun State.

Portable was arraigned after his arrest by operatives of the state police command last Friday and brought before the court with a five-count charge of assault and stealing at the Ogun State High Court in Ifo, Ifo local government area.

He was later granted bail on Monday. In the new song, titled Federal Government Property (FGP), the controversial singer, in his characteristic manner talked about his hood, praising the federal government and the security operatives for enforcing law and order.

Portable had during altercation with Policemen who visited his business premises ro arrest him last week, described himself as a federal government property.

In the new song, he repeatedly says, “After God, the government is most powerful. If you offend me, I will report you to the police. I was taken to prison custody but not dressed as a prisoner. Please leave me alone, and I am not a prisoner.”

It was gathered that the single is a leaked track of his forthcoming album.
