Former Zamfara State governor, Sen AbdulAziz Yari has called on Nigerians to fervently pray for President Bola Tinubu-led government to succeed in its ongoing fight against security challenges facing the country.

Yari made the call during a meeting with the committee he assigned to oversee the distribution of Ramadan package to 250,000 households at his country home, Talata Mafara.
He said the prayers for President Tinubu became necessary for him to be focused and have wisdom to succeed.

“President Tinubu is the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, and serious efforts and measures are being put in place by the administration of President Tinubu in curtailing the menace, therefore, prayer is the only option for success in the fight,” he said.

The former governor also disclosed that plans were being put in place to increase the number of the beneficiaries to between 500,000 and 700,000 households considering the importance of the exercise.
Yari also promised to extend his welfare support to the educational sector by identifying children with needs for the support.

He directed the committee to make comprehensive census of children within households in order for them to enjoy the educational support.
