PSG Signs World Cup Winner Ferran Torres On 5 Years Deal

Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Spanish forward Ferran Torres from Barcelona on a contract running until 2031.

The 26-year-old, who will wear the No. 9 shirt, joins the French champions after an impressive spell at Barcelona, where he made 207 appearances and scored 65 goals.

Torres arrives in Paris with a decorated CV that includes three La Liga titles and the 2025 Copa del Rey, as well as major international honours with Spain.

He was part of Spain’s European Championship-winning squad in 2024 and also lifted the Nations League trophy in 2023. He also has European titles at Under-17 and Under-19 level.

Torres began his professional career at Valencia, making history in 2017 as the first player born in the 21st century to feature in La Liga.

He subsequently moved to Manchester City, where he played under Pep Guardiola, winning the Premier League and reaching the Champions League final in 2021.

The forward joined Barcelona in 2022 and now embarks on a new chapter with PSG.

“I’m delighted to begin a new adventure at such an ambitious club,” Torres said after completing the move.

He thanked PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, sporting director Luis Campos and head coach Luis Enrique for their roles in bringing him to the club.

Enrique is a familiar figure to Torres, having handed him his senior Spain debut in 2020.

Torres has since won 65 caps for Spain, establishing himself as an important member of the national team.

His arrival strengthens PSG’s attacking options as the club seek to maintain their domestic dominance and compete for major honours in Europe.

The move also reunites Torres with Enrique at club level, with the PSG manager now tasked with getting the best out of the versatile forward.
