Qing Madi Set To Ignite CANEX WKND 2024 Opening Ceremony

Nigerian music sensation Qing Madi is poised to electrify the opening ceremony of CANEX WKND 2024 on October 16 in Algiers, Algeria.

Her performance promises to be a vibrant celebration of African music’s diverse rhythms and influences. Known for her soulful voice and genre-blending style, Qing Madi perfectly embodies the creative fusion that CANEX WKND champions. Her music intertwines traditional African sounds with global influences, resonating with the event’s theme: “One People, United in Culture, Creating for the World.”

Taking place from October 16-19, CANEX WKND 2024 is a dynamic showcase of African creativity and innovation. The opening day will feature an array of live performances, including those by L’Opera d’Alger, Ofentse Pitse and Orchestra, Ghetto Kids, Sofiya Nzau, Qabaniso Molewezi, Xenson, Samira Brahmia, and Djamal Laroussi.

The event is packed with a variety of activities, including masterclasses on innovative financing, sports entrepreneurship, culinary innovation, and visual arts.

The CANEX Music Factory, led by the legendary South African producer Oskido, will provide a platform for singers, beatmakers, and musicians to record songs and possibly feature in the next CANEX Music Factory release. The Exhibition & Market and Fashion Show will spotlight the latest trends in African design, while the Gastronomy section will tantalize food lovers with delectable African cuisine.

Moreover, the CANEX Book Factory Prize and CANEX Shorts Awards will honor outstanding literary works and emerging filmmakers. Attendees can also look forward to The MANSA Digital Initiative, the Nigerian International Film Summit, Beyond the Scoreboard, Gastronomy Masterclasses, and the Zuma Film Festival Presentation by the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC).
