Auwal Musa Rafsanjani is Nigeria’s activist and patriot whose voice has continued to reverberate within the media space where serious discourse about the future of the country and the African continent is held.

A trained political scientist from Bayero University Kano (BUK), with numerous international courses, he has dedicated his life to fighting corruption, policy advocacy, and human rights for the underprivileged.

Rafsanjani, in addition to presenting papers at national and international events, has written several articles that have been published in national dailies and international journals, making significant contributions to the national discourse.

He leads efforts in human rights, anti-corruption, policy, and legislative advocacy, promoting the positive transformation of Nigeria and Africa.

He also advocates for women and girl child rights who were forced to hard labour, that there should be policies and frameworks in place to curb the problem, and also provide job security and safety for them.

In 2005, he founded the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC), a non-governmental, non-profit civil society organisation with the primary mission of promoting democratic governance and deepening democracy through legislative advocacy, capacity building, research, and information sharing.

He is the executive director of the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) and the chairman of the Zero Corruption Coalition (ZCC).

He also serves as the national contact of Transparency International and the past immediate coordinator representing sub-Saharan sub-African region on Civil Society Coalition on the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.

The activist doubles as the chairman, Board of Amnesty International, Nigeria.
