In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, the Mass Literacy for the Less Privilege of Almajiris Initiative (MALLPAI) Foundation has feted thousands of persons with assorted food items in Abuja.
Led by Hajia Aishatu Atiku Bagudu, the foundation treated indigent Muslims faithful drawn from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and neighbouring Nasarawa and Kaduna states to lavish Iftar meals at the weekend.
In her remark, Bagudu expressed gratitude to Allah for seeing Muslim faithful through the 20th day of the month of Ramadan and urged the adherents of the Islamic faith to maintain piety even after the end of Ramadan.
She also emphasised the importance of harmonious relationship between Muslim and other religious groups, particularly Christians in promoting peace and unity in the country.
