The rector, Blessed Martins International Institute of Science and Technology (BMIIST), Ohatekwe Amagu, Ikwo, Ebonyi State, Dr Emma Okoro has warned the 96 newly admitted students of the institution against all forms of cult-related activities, indecent dressing and examination malpractices.

Dr Okoro who stated this yesterday during the 7th matriculation ceremony of the institution assured that the management of BMIIST would go the extra mile to protect its students against any form of intimidation, harassment and exploitation.

He maintained that the institution at all time insists on hard-work. “We enforce discipline, enthrone the highest standard of morality, abhor all forms of antisocial behaviour and we have zero tolerance for examination malpractices, cultism and indecent dressing,” he stated.

The rector expressed concern over the school’s inability to fill its quota of students’ allotment by the various professional regulatory boards and councils. “Our student quota for Environmental Health Technology programme is 100 students per stream but we have less than ten students in the department,” he disclosed.
