Reform Minds Hangout Educates Young Entrepreneurs On Tax, Bookkeeping

Young entrepreneurs were equipped with practical knowledge on taxation and bookkeeping at the Reform minds Hangout held on 21 December 2025.

The event, organised for business owners was presented by BrooksPrime Multimedia Limited in partnership with PrimeBeaks Media Limited.

The initiative was inspired by the Chief Executive Officer of BrooksPrime Multimedia Limited, Tony Omokpo, who observed that many young business owners lack basic understanding of tax obligations, proper bookkeeping and even how to file tax returns.

According to him, interactions with young entrepreneurs revealed a widespread perception that government tax policies were designed to stifle their businesses, especially with the introduction of new tax laws.

This concern informed the decision to organise an educational hangout, where the young entrepreneurs were invited to guide participants on bookkeeping practices and explain the new tax laws in clear, practical terms.

BrooksPrime Multimedia Limited and PrimeBeaks Media Limited jointly planned and delivered the event, bringing together young entrepreneurs in an interactive setting designed to promote learning, dialogue and growth.

Organisers disclosed that the reform minds Hangout will be a recurring platform aimed at continuously supporting, encouraging and building young entrepreneurs to scale their businesses across Nigeria.

He said; “We noticed a lot of young entrepreneurs don’t know about tax, or file returns talkless of the new tax laws, when most young entrepreneurs were asked, they just felt that government wants to suffer their businesses, so we made our mind to put up an hangout to educate young entrepreneurs on the new tax law by inviting an i-can certified accountant to educate young entrepreneurs on how to do book keeping and educate them on the new tax law.”

Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Omokpo emphasised that young entrepreneurs are the engine of every economy.

He noted that nations are built on their innovation and resilience, adding that subsequent editions of the CEOs Hangout would be bigger and even more impactful than the maiden event.

He charged the young entrepreneurs that that every nation is built by the young entrepreneurs who are the engine of any economy and the next CEOs hangout will be bigger and life-changing as this 1st edition
