Bishop of the Diocese of Kwara, Anglican Communion, Right Reverend Sunday Timothy Adewole, has asked Nigerians to rely absolutely on God for solution to the economic challenges facing the nation.
Bishop Adewole stated this in an interview with newsmen after he delivered his Easter message at the Cathedral of St. Barnabas, Sabo-Oke, Ilorin, the state capital.
He said, “When they (Nigerians) rely on God, things will work well for us”.
The cleric stressed the need for Nigerians to sacrifice their time, talent and treasure for peace to reign in the country.
“Everybody should try as much as possible to sacrifice so that the others will be at peace. Sacrifice is very important at this time around. Sacrifice everything, your time, your talent, your treasure,” he said.
Earlier in his sermon entitled “Implication of Christ Resurrection”, Bishop Adewole noted that the resurrection of Jesus was not a fiction, but a reality, “as it brought salvation, healing.”
He also stressed the need for people to trust and develop faith in God and come to Him when things are good.
Bishop Adewole decried preaching Christ without Christ, salvation without sanctification, decision without discipleship, love without lordship, prosperity without purpose, blessing without birthright and revival without reformation.
