Ihonvbere, to be majority leader, adding that the lawmaker’s integrity, industry, and exceptional leadership capabilities in public service puts him in good stead to deliver on task.

Reflecting on Ihonvbere’s previous role as chairman of the House Committee on Basic Education in the 9th Assembly, Fortune acknowledged the significant reforms he brought to the basic education sector, describing him as a leader with remarkable legislative expertise.

Fortune also lauded Ihonvbere’s intellectual and academic achievements, highlighting his extensive knowledge in African politics.

Fortune believed that Ihonvbere’s appointment as majority leader was well-deserved.

In addition, Fortune urged Ihonvbere to continue nurturing and mentoring the youth in the country, preparing them for future leadership roles.

He suggested that the new House Leader should collaborate with young minds to introduce innovation, industry, and creativity into legislative affairs.

When asked about the contributions that young people can bring to legislative business, Fortune expressed his willingness to work alongside Ihonvbere and the entire leadership of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly.

He aimed to assist in cultivating a policy and legislative environment conducive to driving positive change and development in the country.

Wishing Ihonvbere a successful tenure as House Leader, Fortune expressed confidence that under his leadership, numerous bills and legislative measures would be introduced and implemented.

He urged Ihonvbere to embody tactfulness, determination, and resilience in carrying out his new responsibilities.
