Yoruba actress Iyabo Ojo’s most recent movie, “The Return of Arinzo,” is still making box-office headlines as it continues to dominate, earning N224 million.
The movie is reported to have reached the number one spot for two consecutive weeks, indicating massive audience turnout and interest across platforms.
The movie, which was named the highest-grossing Easter weekend release at the Nigerian box office, earned N104.8 million in its debut and has now recorded N224 million at the West African Box Office.
The film’s distributors, FilmOne Entertainment, thanked fans on Instagram for their support.
“With N224 million and counting, The Return of Arinzo is not just winning; it’s making history as the number one film for two consecutive weekends.
“Thank you, West Africa, for showing up and showing out. Your love is taking this film higher and higher,” they posted.
The movie follows a rising actor who returns home with his fiancée to support his father’s presidential campaign. However, all is not what it seems as the arrival opens a Pandora’s box that leads to other revelations.
It is hoped that, in the coming weeks, with the movie’s outstanding box-office performance, it will continue to hold its position at the top.
