A political stakeholder and philanthropy Comrade Igbini Odafe Emmanuel has called on the National Assembly intervention to address the dispute between Governor Fubara and Nyeso Wike in Rivers State.

He explaining that we are here to pursue my agenda of peace between the God father and his trusted political son Governor Fubara and FCT minister Nyeso Wike to resolved their differences and build a prosperous Rivers state.

He said, l will not limit my self the local government elections that has another direction right now. But l want lay a foundation so that you will understand how we fine ourself in State how it stated and why it has assume a negative dimension which have become news in the country.

“During the hangover and church reception l was their with them among the invited dignitaries. But it was a shork to me just within a month later we got about their dispute and again the last recent bomb last in Revers state house of Assembly ever since then l have engaged both of them on grating interviews to resolved their minor disagreement.”

He emphasize that Governor Fubara cleary thought me that he is ready for peace for his godfather Nyeso Wike insisting that we must achieved so peace can rein in the state.

“Unfortunately i want to stated it cleary that Rivers state crisis is not all about the Rivers state governor Fubara and FCT minister Nyeso Wike but it is a case of third parties who has decided to cause mayhem and explode the situation between them in the state.”

According to him, have you seen any state where a incumbent governor will leave his seat and show no any interest to his successor in Lagos, Kogi, Delta, so why is Rivers case different.

“They reason is because of rules Wike play in the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to win River state for All Progressive Congress APC at the 2023 general elections. Some peoples has vow to continued fight on that regards.”

” Therefore elections has come and gone nobody should hide under that to cause more mayhem for the good peoples of Rivers states. We must allow peace reim, he said.”

He said, they crisis could have stop since if National Assemble rose to it. Constitution make it clear under sec session of 11 of the 1999 constitution as amended stated that were a house of assemble of the state is enabling to carry it constitutional functions for whatever reason the National will takeover the state legislatures untill when they be able to resume to their constitutional duties making laws for peace and good governance for the benefit of the people.

“Revers has not valid house of assemble this is because of conflicting judgement by the state court claiming that a defeated 27 members automatically losses their seats.”

We appealed to media and civil society organisation to plan an important role promoting peace for the benefits of good peoples of River state Nigeria at large.”
