Romelu Lukaku is reportedly preparing to leave SSC Napoli after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, amid growing uncertainty over his future at the Serie A side.
The development was revealed by transfer expert Nicolò Schira, who indicated that Napoli are open to selling the Belgian striker, with an asking price believed to be in the region of €10 million. Lukaku, whose current contract runs until 2027, has attracted interest from clubs in both Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
The 32-year-old forward, who has previously played for top European clubs including Chelsea FC and Manchester United, is said to be considering his options as he approaches the latter stages of his career.
His situation at Napoli has become increasingly uncertain following reported tensions with manager Antonio Conte. Conte is understood to have expressed disappointment with Lukaku’s recent conduct, particularly after the striker allegedly missed a training session without authorisation.
The incident has reportedly led to internal disciplinary proceedings, further fuelling speculation about a possible departure.
Despite these issues, Lukaku remains a proven goalscorer with significant experience at both club and international level. His physical presence and finishing ability continue to make him an attractive option for clubs seeking an experienced forward.
With interest already emerging from outside Europe’s top five leagues, a move after the World Cup appears increasingly likely, as Napoli weigh up the opportunity to cash in on the striker while restructuring their squad.
