Royal Family Attends Trooping The Colour As Prince Harry Delivers Invictus Message

The British royal family gathered in London on Saturday for the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony, while Prince Harry marked the occasion from afar with a video address at an international veterans’ sports event in Germany.

The Princess of Wales, alongside Prince William and their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, participated in the traditional military parade in the capital.

At the same time, the Duke of Sussex, 41, appeared via video message at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Invictus Germany Sports Festival in Düsseldorf.

The clip, shared by the Invictus Games on Instagram Stories, saw Harry address attendees of the festival, which is an offshoot of the main Invictus Games event he founded in 2014 to support wounded and recovering service members and veterans.

“It is an honour to be sending this message as you all gather in Düsseldorf for another Invictus sporting title,” Harry told the crowd.

The duke praised Germany’s role in the broader Invictus movement, noting that the festival, now in its second edition, was welcoming competitors from 11 nations.

He also highlighted its influence on future events, saying the festival was already helping to shape the inaugural Invictus Australia Sports Festival, due to take place later this year.

“Germany is setting a powerful example of what it means to honour service with dignity and enduring commitment,” he added.

Harry previously served as a captain in the British Army before launching the Invictus Games.
