Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVS) has taken watertight security measures across the 255 wards in the 23 local government areas of the state.
KADVS said its personnel were fully mobilised and deployed to ensure that everyone can celebrate the Sallah in a peaceful and secure environment.
In an Eid-el-Fitr message issued by the KADVS head of the Department of Operations, Lawal Abdullahi, yesterday, it reassured the public of its unwavering commitment to the safety and security of all citizens.
According to the statement, “The Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVS), under the dynamic and professional command of CP Ali Audu Dabigi psc+ (rtd) , and operating under the distinguished leadership of the supervising Ministry, the State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, led by the Honorable Commissioner, Dr. Sule Shuaibu, SAN, felicitates with the esteemed Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, and the entire Muslim Ummah in Kaduna State and beyond on the joyous occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
“This auspicious occasion marks the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, a period of spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and profound devotion.
As the crescent moon heralds a time of celebration, we pray that the Almighty Allah accepts our supplications, fasts, and good deeds, and rewards us all with His boundless blessings. May this festive spirit bring us closer to one another and foster the enduring peace and harmony for which our dear state is known.”
The statement noted, “While we have taken these proactive steps, security is a collective responsibility. The local security Agency therefore calls on members of the public to give maximum cooperation to all security agencies operating within the state. We urge citizens to be vigilant, observe their surroundings, and report any suspicious activities or persons to the nearest security outlet. By working together—security agencies, community leaders, and the public—we can ensure a hitch-free and joyous celebration for all”.
“As we rejoice with our families, friends, and neighbors, let us remember the virtues of compassion, charity, and unity that Ramadan teaches us. Let us extend a hand of fellowship to one another and continue to pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Kaduna State,” KADVS said.
