The custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness, (crown prince and prime minister) Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, have extended their heartfelt condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In separate condolence messages they sent to the Nigerian leader, the Saudi monarch and his heir expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the former president, describing it as a great loss not only to Nigeria but also to the African continent.

King Salman conveyed his deepest sympathies to Tinubu, the government and the people of Nigeria, as well as to the family of the deceased. He offered prayers for the repose of his soul and wished strength and solace to those he left behind.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stands in solidarity with the people of Nigeria during this difficult time,” the King said, stressing that Buhari’s legacy of service and dedication to national development would be remembered for years.
