Second Edition Of The Lagos Arts & Health Festival To Hold In August

The second edition of the Lagos Arts and Health Festival is scheduled to hold from August 24 to 30, 2026.

The week-long event celebrates the role the arts play in the health and well-being of the city of Lagos and its residents.

It convenes artists, healthcare professionals, communities, policymakers, and the general public via a series of activations, exhibitions, workshops, performances, and conversations that explore the intersection of the arts and health.

Participants will be involved in sessions such as zine-making and poetry workshops for young people, collaborative murals painted on public walls, group therapy sessions, sing-along and dance-along activations in open spaces, and community outreaches to places such as barracks, nursing homes, and correctional facilities.

These activities are all aimed at delivering arts-based health programming across Lagos to key communities, economically empowering creative practitioners, installing legacy infrastructure, and building health literacy in the Afro-metropolitan state.
