Gospel music rapper Bukola Folayan, better known as Bouqui, is set to release a new album soon.
The self-styled music artiste, who is celebrating her birthday today, February 18, 2026, announced on her social media page, thanking God for the blessings and for what she has achieved in life.
”Happy Birthday to me!!! NEW ALBUM loading. This year is all about Restoration, a year of declaration. It’s time to tell the devil to back off everything he took… We are taking it all back!!! Happy Birthday to me. Grateful to God for another year,” she wrote on her Instagram handle, @bouquiunstoppable.
Her colleagues have gone ahead to wish her well.
Bouqui is a rapper, singer, songwriter, on-air personality, fashion designer and author. Now based in the United States of America as a US citizen, the rapper made an inroad into the music industry in the mid-2000s, releasing her debut album, B.O.U.Q.U., a self-titled album. I, which earned her the Award for Best Female Act at the 2007 Award for Music Excellence in Nigeria (AMEN), as well as nominations for Revelation of the Year and Best Rap Album at The Headies 2007.
Though she began her solo career in 1999, taking on the moniker, Bouqui, an acronym for “Born Once More Unto A Quickened And Unparalleled Image’, Bouqui became famous after the release of the singles, Molejo, Vanity and Get it Started, her debut 2007 album.
Bouqui relocated to the United States in February 2014 and has released different works, making it her fifth Album. She also became a pastor.
In August of 2023, Bouqui released a remix of Chris Falson’s 1992 worship anthem, “All Honour”, made popular by the late gospel music icon, Ron Kenoly. The single was rechristened “For Fire” and features Chris Falson, the original author of the song.
