The Senator representing Plateau Central at the National Assembly onthe platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Diket Plang, has pledged his continued support for the reelection of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Caleb Mutfwang to sustain good governance.

Plang stated this during a thank-you tour to the people of his constituency.

Our correspondent recalled that the incumbent Senator Plang lost the Plateau Central primary election to David Barji. Plang described the selection process as non-reflective of the yearning and aspiration of the people of his constituency.

Speaking at a town hall meeting with stakeholders from Pankshin, Kanam, Kanke, Mangu and Bokkos local government areas, the Senator said, “Plateau Central primary election is selective hence the people are not happy.

“I need to get back to the people to express my spirit of sportsmanship. I also need to get their feedback too as regards the next line of action. I am a party man I believe in President Bola Tinubu as a result of his inclusive administration.

“In terms of appointment and infrastructural development, particularly in Plateau and some part of Southern Kaduna State, we are happy with what Mr President is doing.”

The Senator explained that the executive bill for state police, tax bill and the regional development areas are the brainchild of Mr President which will go a long way in alleviating the suffering of Nigerians.

“He meant well for this great country. I cannot abandon the party that carries President Bola Tinubu and Governor Caleb Mutfwang as flagbearers. I will also work to support Prof Nentawe Yilwatda to succeed as the APC national chairman,” he said.

According to him, these are the fundamental reasons why he collapsed his campaign structure to support President Tinubu and Governor Mutfwang.

He also disclosed that Governor Mutfwang deserves a second term in office, just as his predecessors were given the opportunity to serve for two terms, stressing the importance of continuity in governance and development

The traditional rulers in the area commended Senator Plang for his selfless service and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.
