In a statement released yesterday by the director of information, Segun Imohiosen, the OSGF emphasised that the office’s leadership has no involvement in the alleged misconduct, which includes accusations of bribery and money laundering.
The office reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability, and integrity in all official dealings.
“The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation is not in any way connected to the allegations against Hon. Andrew Torhile Uchi.
We remain steadfast in our adherence to the principles of good governance and ethical conduct,” the statement reads.
The OSGF also acknowledged the EFCC’s efforts in investigating the matter and ensuring that those found culpable are brought to justice. It urged the public to avoid speculation and allow the investigative process to run.
“We recognise and support the work of the EFCC in upholding the rule of law. However, we appeal to the public to refrain from drawing premature conclusions as the investigation is still ongoing,” the statement added.
The office further expressed gratitude to the public for their understanding and support, assuring Nigerians of its unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity in government operations.
