The zone noted that it would not allow anyone to change the party’s logo which had been in existence for 20 years.

The party’s zonal public relations officer, Mr. Kilamuwaye Badmus, who made their decision known in Ibadan, added that the plan to change the NNPP logo was an overnight move which is not acceptable to the members of the party in the zone.

He added that the leaders and members of NNPP in the southern region were not in support of any attempt to change the party’s logo.

He said none of the members of the party from the zone was consulted before such a step was taken.
Kilamuwaye called on Governor Abba Yusuff of Kano State, National Assembly members elected under NNPP to retain the victorious logo that gave them victory in the last election.
He said, “The plan to change the logo was not officially passed to the members to seek their opinions and so it cannot stand the test of time.
