Southern Kaduna APC Forum Urges Wilson Iliya Yangye To Return To APC

The Southern Kaduna APC Unity Forum has called on Hon. Wilson Iliya Yangye to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his recent withdrawal from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The forum made the call in a statement issued on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, and signed by its Publicity Secretary, Obadiah Tum Ezekiel.

The group described Yangye’s decision to leave the ADC as significant, noting that it came less than 24 hours after the unveiling of the party’s campaign structure in Kaduna State.

According to the forum, Yangye’s decision was linked to concerns over what it described as a series of decisions by the Kaduna State ADC governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru, and other stakeholders in the party.

The forum alleged that some of the developments within the ADC had raised concerns among critical stakeholders and sections of the state.

It said the developments were inconsistent with the principles of unity, inclusion and fairness which Yangye had consistently advocated.

The group commended Yangye for what it described as a “principled decision” and urged him to return to the APC, which it described as his “original political home.”

The forum said Yangye’s political experience, extensive contacts and mobilisation capacity would contribute to the strengthening of the APC in Southern Kaduna and beyond.

It added that the APC’s organisational structure across the country provided an avenue for experienced political actors to contribute to governance and political development.

The group further said Yangye’s political network and acceptability could add value to the Tinubu/Shettima and Uba Sani/Jerry Adams tickets, as well as other APC candidates in Southern Kaduna and Kaduna State.

The Southern Kaduna APC Unity Forum also urged political stakeholders to prioritise unity, inclusion and collective purpose, while calling on those who share such values to join efforts towards the development of Kaduna State.
