Former Death Row Records boss Suge Knight has alleged that lawyers representing Duane “Keefe D” Davis offered him up to $1 million to claim Davis was not in the car during the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.
According to a report by TMZ Live, Knight stated from prison on Tuesday that he rejected the offer, saying his loyalty to Shakur could not be compromised.
Knight also criticized recent comments made by rapper The Game, who suggested that Keefe D was being used as a scapegoat in the murder case. Knight dismissed claims by outsiders who claimed to know the real killers, accusing individuals of using Shakur’s death to gain public attention.
While Knight declined to state whether Keefe D was innocent or guilty, he insisted that multiple individuals were involved in the shooting and alleged that off-duty law enforcement officers played a role in the broader events surrounding Shakur’s death.
The allegations made by Knight regarding the monetary offer remain unverified as legal proceedings against Keefe D continue in court.
