Sunshine Queens have announced the dismissal of their head coach, Kayode Olujohungbe, following a thorough review of the team’s recent performances.
The management of the Akure-based club confirmed Olujohungbe’s departure in a statement released on Friday, citing the necessity for change to get the team back on track.
The club expressed gratitude to Coach Olujohungbe for his contributions and efforts during his tenure, wishing him well in his future endeavours.
Under his guidance, Sunshine Queens recorded two wins, six draws, and five defeats across 13 matches.
Currently, Sunshine Queens occupy ninth position in the NWFL Group B table, having accumulated 12 points. The search for Olujohungbe’s successor is expected to begin immediately as the club looks to improve its league standing.
