The Taraba State Government has released the sum of N15 billion for the construction of Bali General Hospital, completion of Bali Dakka Pamanga Road and the Government Lodge.
Deputy speaker Hon Hamman Adama Ibinlla, who disclosed this during proceedings at the House, passed a vote of confidence on the governor for his development stride across sectors.
He said that, the people of Bali local government area will in 2027 reciprocate the good gestures the governor extended to them by voting massively for him.
“This man has done a lot for us as a people, apart from my local government area, he has touched every nooks and crannies of the state.
“Our road linking Pamanga Dakka was abandoned for years, but within a short time of his administration, he graciously approved N15billion for the completion of the road, construction of our general hospital and government lodge,” he said.
Ibinlla, added that the governor deserve second term, because his administration brought insecurity, kidnapping among others to its knees.
“As at three years ago, you dare not pass through Dakka Pamanga Road, kidnapping was everywhere, people were afraid of being killed or kidnapped.
“But today, he brought both kidnapping and farmers- herders crisis to its knees ” he added.
According to him, the decision of the house to pass vote of confidence on him was based on his performance.
“Governor Kefas has performed above average within the present circumstances and we as representatives of the people of Taraba State, we thereby resolve to pass a vote of confidence on him,” he stressed.
He noted that he is on the same page with those putting pressure on the governor to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Following the current political realities and the urgent need to accelerate development and consolidate the gains of democracy in Taraba State, it has become imperative for us to all make a case for Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, to align with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the national level,” he informed.
