Sudeep Ramnani is a seasoned tech entrepreneur, investor, and the Founder and CEO of Sporty Group.

An alumnus of the London School of Economics (LSE), Ramnani initially built successful manufacturing and distribution businesses in West Africa before shifting his focus to scaling digital commerce, fintech, and sports entertainment in emerging markets.

The Creation of SportyBet & PalmPay

SportyBet: Merging his passion for football with cutting-edge technology, Ramnani co-founded Sporty Group alongside his business partner and cousin, Jai Mahtani.

Its flagship platform, SportyBet, was built using a Silicon Valley-style “blitzscaling” strategy (rapid, aggressive growth).

They focused on micro-payments, an ultra-fast mobile user experience, and strategic global partnerships with football giants like Real Madrid and Manchester City, and turned it into one of Africa’s most popular sports media and gaming platforms.

PalmPay: Recognizing the massive

infrastructure gaps in local mobile commerce while expanding SportyBet, Ramnani and Mahtani co-founded PalmPay.
