‎Nigerian music diva Yemi Alade has paid tribute to the late Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo, who died on Tuesday, May 12.
‎
‎The family had revealed that the actor died from complications arising from advanced metastatic kidney cancer, and sought privacy and prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul.
‎
‎Yemi Alade, who was shocked about his demise, sounded philosophical and recalled that Alex Ekubo is the Johnny in the song and video that gave the musician fame and mileage in the music industry.
‎
‎Johnny’s video was released in 2014 and was a massive hit, portraying Alex as a man, Johnny, who had jilted women and impregnated them, as depicted in the song lyrics acted out in the video.
‎
‎Yemi Alade on her Instagram posted,
‎”Words Fail Me, But Proposes And God Disposes.
